KAACR was started in 1998 as a National NGO Liaison Committee on the rights of the children. The goal of the committee was to popularize the draft Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) and to lobby the government to adopt and ratify the UNCRC after it came to force.
After a conference was held a resolution was made to establish a national body whose primary duty was to monitor and evaluate the implementation and non observance of the principles and provisions of the Convention of the rights of the child in Kenya hence KAACR.
Joy Divine Children’s Organization being a community based organization is therefore an associate member of KAACR. Joy Divine has a duty to perform or fulfill every other activity that concerns KAACR.

KAACR MISSION
“To promote the realization of the children’s rights, both boys and girls, in Kenya”.

This is a UK based charity organization with the aim to give the children a voice. Its overall goal is to give the children a platform to highlight the issues that affect them and enable them come up with a significant contributions towards improving the rights of the children in this nation. The celebrations are done in Kenya annually in March.
We attended the Children’s Voices 2005 conference whose theme was “My Safety, My Say”.
The specific objectives of the conference are to

• Create a forum for enabling children’s voices to be heard
• Enhance diverse forms of expression among children
• Enhance child participation
• Provide links to other children’s organizations at a global level.

• Sponsor a child by donating fees, uniforms, books and other school supplies
• Prayers
• Volunteer your time to work for these children
• Share your experiences with our support group
• Provide medical assistance through donating medicines and other medical supplies

Mission Statement
The counseling department supports the Organization mission through the provision of high quality counseling services to children experiencing personal, developmental, and psychological difficulties. The department further strives to provide encouragement, motivation, and support to the children life long process.

Vision
Joy Divine children’s Organization counseling department will work to enhance the children academic success and individual potential for growth. Further more, it will work with the children to enable them develop healthy interpersonal relationships by providing quality counseling services.
